Single player or multiplayer? Multiplayer may be CPU limited if there's lots of players, and your FPS experience won't match the results people get in single player.

I set global to Auto Overclock and leave it.

Did a custom fan curve in the driver because the Powercolor version of the card has too antsy of a fan curve and likes to run as loud as it can.

I like to use VSR on my 1080P display. Turn it on, set my resolution to 4K, and try to run everything at that resolution. Some older games Like Unreal aren't compatible with VSR, but most stuff is. I also think it makes the desktop look better and makes text easier to read.

This is mine, but I am NOT running a Gigabyte Aorus 5700 XT.

I am using a Sapphire NITRO+ 5700 XT.

Also, the card is OVERCLOCKED, with voltage lowered.

You may need to adjust the fan curves, and adjust the GPU frequency + voltage to make it work for YOUR 5700 XT.

@Action_Johnson is using a PowerColor Red Devil 5700 XT.

You NEED to adjust the card settings to what works for YOU and YOUR version of 5700 XT.

Those settings will depend on your personal preference, and your location (e.g. ambient temperatures), your overall system set-up, etc.

Of course, the variability between one system to another....or even one person's Aorus 5700 XT vs your Aorus 5700 XT.

If you live in a hot climate (e.g. India 26*C right now), you'd have to set a more aggressive fan curve...compared to...say...me where it is 8*C outside right now.

For the cooling fans, how loud is TOO loud for you personally?

I can set a more aggressive fan curve because I usually game with headphones on.

Plus, I prefer my graphics cards to stay below ~70*C max.

Lower temperature, and the card will Boost GPU MHz higher, for longer.

The computer case/chassis you are using, and how that is set-up will play a role, too.

For me, I'm using a custom water cooling loop for the CPU, so the hot air from the CPU doesn't even circulate in the case -- radiator is at the top set as exhaust.

If you are using a CPU tower cooler / heatsink, some of the warm air from the CPU goes back into the case, and heats up the GPU / motherboard / RAM, etc.

If you overclock your Aorus 5700 XT, and tweak the voltages, it will generate more heat, and behave differently vs a stock 5700 XT.

People can share you their settings, but use those are suggestions / starting points.

Adjust (e.g. increase / lower settings) to what works best for you and your system set-up.

@Action_Johnson is capping his / her fan speed at 50% max, and it doesn't look like the fans every shut down.

With my fan setting, if the 5700 XT is under 30*C, the 3x fans are actually off.

Using a more aggressive fan setting for 70*C+, to keep the temperatures low, if it every goes up.

You aren't going to have the exact same experience as other users.

I aimed to keep my 5700xt memory below 80 and hotspot below 90. To that end, it mostly just needed a more aggressive fan curve.

I set my fans to my personal noise tolerances. but I also do alot of low-usage-GPU tasks on it, like rendering thousands of JPEG's or TIFF's for work. That's all done on CPU cores still and only uses 2-8% of GPU, which is enough to kick on the fans
