Quick question about homegroups

Go to solution Solved by GoodBytes,

Home Group feature has been removed in Windows 10.

So let me preface, yes I'm confused and yes I don't use this feature ever, but I still would like to understand what's going on...

I remember that I had some trouble to get rid of it, and I suppose it has to do with "network discovery"...

So simple question, is it normal homegroups doesn't show up here, and will it show up if I turn on network discovery (which I won't do obviously, hence I'm asking)

Bonus question, is there any way to get rid of the big blue "access media" and "map network drive" in the top left?

I really don't need it and it's just cluttering up my file explorer (though yes, I expect this level of customization not being available on Windows 10, but who knows)

Edit: tbh I really want to get rid of the whole "sharing" section shown in the first picture ideally, I wish it was possible...

heh, that's interesting, I thought that might be the case... it just confused me because I knew it was there previously and it took a while for me to remove it.

And then I was sure I still saw it somewhere, despite it not being available apparently.

Note : I am on windows 10 1803 ironically, and it's not too long ago this thing kept showing up under "networks"

I also almost deleted "networks" yesterday but I realized that would probably remove any network access! :o

Thanks, I know it's not important, but was a headscratcher to me anyways 🤷🏼
