I have gtx 1050 and I play Ark so slowing my graphics card is really not an option.

Even if it did reduce the CPU lanes to the graphics card, going from x16 to x8 on a GTX 1050 doesn't affect performance.

But as mentioned, the chipset will deliver lanes.

Hello,

I have Intel i5-4460 and ASRock H81M-HDS R2.0 motherboard. I also have graphics card in my X16 PCIe slot and have X1 PCIe slot empty. I would like to buy a PCIe WiFi adapter but I read in CPU specifications that it only supports 16 PCIe lanes. What would happen if I put PCIe WiFi adapter in that empty X1 slot. Will it slow down my graphics card? I have gtx 1050 and I play Ark so slowing my graphics card is really not an option.

Regards
