USB 3.1 Gen2 slow

Slo2020

I have NVMe SSD connected with USB 3.1 Gen2 cable using NVMe USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C enclosure on X570 AORUS ELITE and speed is so low for NVMe.

I have 10 Gbps cable and enclosure.

Right so you're getting full read speeds.
Thats USB 3.2 Gen 2, not Usb 3.1 Gen 2

10 Gbps = 1GB/s

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

Yes.

My mistake. It's USB 3.2 Gen 2.

My motherboard have 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports (red) on the back panel.

USB 3.1 gen2 and 3.2 gen2 are just different names for the same thing, I thought?  Also, is 10Gbps actually1.25GB/s? I always was told to multiply/divide by 8 to get the conversion. Not meaning to be rude or challenge you, just trying to clarify for myself and others. I'm far from expert.
