PS5 controller not recognized?

CuriousBro

Just got the PS5 controller, but my PC isn't recognizing it. I've watched a couple tutorials and no one seems to have had the issue I'm having. When I plug the controller into my PS5, I don't get any notification to update the driver like most seem to get. And mapping the buttons within the steam window is glitchy. I can map buttons, but then the game I'm playing (Hades) doesn't recognize any buttons........

Anyone know what to do?

Edit: I'm using wired only and supposedly some type C cords are only for charging. If this is true, what kind of cord should I be using?

The one I got said "Data syncing". So........... Honestly, I still don't get it. Will this one work? Or is there one you recommend?
