Hi everyone 

I wanted to ask if i can pair the i5 10400 with 3000 mhz ram on h or b motherboards should it run on 2933 mhz (max frequency limit on the motherboards) or will it run on 2666 mhz as everyone says

intel really can be a turd when it comes to ram frequencies

That being said just get the cheapest ram you can find but with tighter timing cause I don't think timings are limited by the cpu of motherboard ... but I can be wrong there and others will correct me happily

Always has been to be honest. They could have a better chance to compete with AMD had they at least allowed for XMP on all boards, and perhaps overclocking on B series boards.
