Desktop for A7Siii Suggestions

Need help from the ground up choosing parts for a desktop capable of editing 4K footage (Sony A7Siii)

 

For some time now I'd been saving to purchase a new A7Siii so that I could become self employed and get out there into the world to achieve my dream.

Tragedy struck when I recieved my camera; I booted up my laptop to start editing and immediately noticed green artifacting all over the monitor. My graphics card was fried with no hope of replacement, and I now have a beautiful camera on my hands and no potential to edit with. Not only can I not proceed with my self employment, but my creative outlet has now also been snubbed (making videos!)

I'm writing today because to my name I have just about £1,150 (roughly $1,530). I need to get a computer which is capable of editing my new A7Siii's footage but I'm not the best with picking parts.

The plan was to go for the Razerblade Pro 17' 300hz GTX 2080 S, but it's unfortunately £2,900. Way over budget for me currently. Until I can afford portability I'm settling for a desktop as this can always be upgraded in future.

I might be able to secure a small cash injection so let's say my overall budget is £1,300. What recommendations could you please suggest?

Get the Macbook air M1 or the pro version.

I think it's the best laptop right now if you don't care about gaming.
