Budget (including currency): Around $2000 US but willing to go up to 2500

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Rainbow Six Siege, CS:GO, Valorant, Destiny 2, Red Dead, TF2, Flight Sim, Some light photo and video editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Hoping to build my first pc (I've owned gaming laptops and a pre-built but I know its much cheaper to build), I am team blue, leaning towards a tenth gen i9 and RTX 3080 once they come back in stock, I already own a keyboard and mouse and a single 240 hz monitor, hoping to run most AAA titles on high settings and get 240 fps if possible within my budget. Like I said, I've never built a pc myself, but I'm familiar with the parts. Not really set on a case, but I would prefer something air-cooled and moderately sized. Thanks for the help!

Sry to just ruin everything, but I was leaning towards intel and nvidia. I've just always been told that amd isnt as good. What do you think?

amd is currently the king in cpus, and equal to nvidia in gpus, get amd. It used to be very bade a couple of years ago, now it is the best

honestly rn understand the nvidia but the new and cpu is 20% or more better then any of the intel cpus so rn AMD has the best cpus on the market and 6800xt is way better the 3070 and can go head to head with the 3080
