Difference between these two 9900k parts?

Big price diff but I'm not sure what the difference is between the 9900k BX806849900K and BX80684I99900K other then the nice box.  Thnx.

the difference is literally just the box, i think one cmes with like thermal paste and stuff one not, idk

I'm not sure I understand.  Newegg has these to 9900k models and only the box looks different but the price isnt close.  One is square box and the other is the octagon box.  Specs look the same.  Not sure where coolers and 10900k came from...?

Sorry - meant the Core i9-9900K.

The square box probably comes with an Intel stock cooler.

You don't get a stock cooler with Intel 'K' cpu's.

Pretty certain it is just the box that is different. The cpu is exactly the same for both.

There is a $110 CAN difference in price between those two i9-9900k models....no idea why though.  That's steep considering they appear identical specs aside form the packaging.....$420 and $530

The retail version of the 9900 has a stock cooler. There is also the oem tray version which is just the cpu.
