Yes. I have been using WSL 1 and 2 for a more than two years, and never had an issue in terms of reliability.

Microsoft is actively improving WSL, and you can see its release logs here:

Note that the build numbers reflect Insider Builds of Windows, and the bug fixes reflect issues occurring in those in-development releases of Windows 10, and not necessarily those of the official released version of Windows 10.
