I want to install a ssd in the cd drive slot

Go to solution Solved by PeachGr,

I have done that on an old laptop and works just fine. To be exact I swapped the old HDD for an SSD, and the HDD gone to the CD place with a plastic adapter

would there be any speeds penalties if I install a ssd in sata interface of the cd drive in my laptop, would there be any changes the manufacturer has made. I have a Asus vivobook X542UQR
