New PC build - need help!

I heard you have to do some sort of BIOS update for the new AMD 5 series. I know this MOBO is compatible but do I need to take any extra steps to make sure its going to work? Also, I know this is a relatively budget cooler, but would it be enough to handle the workload of the games I'm looking to play?

Sorry for all these questions, just really unsure of some things. Appreciate you helping out!

The board supports bios flashback. In case the bios it ships with is not compatible with the cpu, you can update the bios on the board using a usb stick without the cpu installed.

The 5600x is such and efficient low power cpu that it doesn't need a bigger cooler.

Budget (including currency): $2000 roughly(CAD)

Country: Canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly gaming - COD, Fortnite, other triple AAA games, League of legends.

Other details: I currently only have 1080 60hz monitor but I am looking to upgrade that aswell! Should mention since I know I won't get the benefits of the RTX 3070 with my current monitors.

So I'm looking to build a PC and I tried to work out the best parts on pcpartpicker. I honestly don't even know if its the best configuration but it sort of looks good lol. I didn't input the graphics card cause it wasn't there but I am looking at the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3070 OC 8GB GDDR6(whenever I can get my hands on it). Below is what i've come up with.

CPU - I found the ryzen 5 3600x to be the best deal cause its currently going for the same price as the 3600 so I thought its better to go with that.

CPU Cooler - I know liquid coolers on the higher end might be bettter, but I just want to install an air cooler and never look back. Heard the dark rock coolers are pretty good. Now I know the dark rock pro is better, but might be bit of an overkill?

Motherboard - Seen great reviews about this motherboard and it was ranked pretty on your tier list

Memory - 16gb DDR4 3600mhz pretty good with ryzen i heard

GPU ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3070 OC 8GB GDDR6(whenever I can get my hands on it or is it an overkill for this build?)

Case - Really liked this case and seen great reviews.

I'd get rid of the cooler, and try to snag a 5600x with the money you saved from not getting the cooler

Maybe you can fit a 5600x in the budget?

Do you think its worth the $150(CAD) upgrade? I don't plan on overclocking or anything like that either

thanks for the reply!

I have little knowledge when it comes to like this so sorry for my ignorance, but given some of the games I'm looking to run, is it worth ditching out the cooler for stock cooler? Wouldn't the cpu overheat or something?

thanks for the reply!

The 5600x will have a significant performance boost over the 3600, think 15-20% more fps. Stock cooler is a bit noisier, but especially if you don't plan to overclock, it will be fine.

Do you think it would be worth getting the following cooler? It's not too expensive and if I'm upgrading the CPU I can probably try to get this too

Thank you for your help I really do appreciate it! Going to start ordering the parts soon and make updates as I build it :)
