I have just put a 1TB M.2 SSD in my gaming system and have an old 1tb hard drive. What programs should I be moving to the fast SSD to utilise the fast memory?

Mostly the software you use most often like your browser, steam and so on, and perhaps some of the games you play most often.

Operative system, all software runing on your operative system that you use the most (and not, why not? you have 1TB) and Games. I only have 1TB SSD M2 and 512gb SSD for data storaging. I don't have any Hard Drive because I consider them expensive atm lol.

Personally, all of them. Unless you have many over 100gig games, it won't fill up.

Any games that have a lot of loading screens are great on an SSD.

 

This especially includes multiplayer games, since they generally have a bunch of loading screens when getting into matches, getting back into the menu after matches, and so on. Ofc, there are some singleplayer games as well, such as most modern CRPGs (Pillars of Eternity, Tyranny, Pathfinder Kingmaker, etc.).
