Hello ,

I'm in need of some advice from you guys, I was thinking of upgrading my gpu i think that's the most I will benefit from.
What would be a good upgrade for it or do you see something else that I could upgrade and gain me quite a lot of performance boost
For the budget i'm thinking 600€ +
Will the latest amd or nvidia card get bottleneck from my cpu or other component.

I'm currently running :
CPU : i5 9600k
GPU : RX 580 8GB
MOTHERBOARD : ASUS PRIME Z390-A
MEMORY : 2*8GB CORSAIR 3000MHZ
PSU : CORSAIR HX850I

Mostly used for gaming(Overwatch , CSgo , COD , DOOM and a few other game some more demanding then other )  , also running dual monitor at 144hz

Your cpu will indeed be a holding back point as it's just a 6 core part and would need an upgrade. But for now a gpu would be your best bet. However none of the cards that would be worth are in stock and/or priced at the price they should be. So for now just wait.

bs, i have an i5 4690k 4,7ghz and most games run consistently above 60fps, its really just a handful of games that bottleneck, like BF V, but there it depends on the map and how much stuff you got in the background, in r6s i get 160fps avg on some maps with gtx 1080 ti and 1440p

you know he can just get the better gpu and then decide whether he needs a better cpu

Hey thank for responding that fast , i know that the latest amd and nvidia car are out of stock and people are reselling it for way too much , what card should I keep an eyes for that wouldn't get hold back by my cpu ?

Get the best one you can get and upgrade the cpu later when you feel like it. It's mainly to avoid stutters and such that I recommend a cpu upgrade other than that it's fine.

So basically the rtx 3070 or maybe the rx6800 would be the ones you'd look for.

Basically almost every AAA game released in the last 2 or so years stutters on a 6 core part which is not good. With the new consoles it's only gonna get worse really quickly.

It does run, not great but it does. What do they care people will buy it anyways if it's good enough, addictive enough or if it has a big enough name.

The only reason it took so long for quad core to become obsolete was the lack or higher core count cpu's for the general consumer that weren't bad (looking at you fx series). The moment they hit they just stopped optimizing hardcore for it and that basically immediately meant that anything that has less than 7 threads would be in trouble which happened. It's why the ryzen 1600 has a more stable gaming experience all be it that it has a lower max framerate whilst the 6 core i5's experience a lot more variation and stuttering.

when BF V came out and i found out most maps wont run at 60fps most of the time i switched back to BF3 and BF 4, BF1 also didnt run, now with more tweaking and overclocking my cpu at questionable Voltages i can pull of some maps in BF1 and BF V, especially if its only 32 players like TDM. if you are going to replace your cpu then see if you can find someone to sell it to, then it might be worth it
