I've been using Razer ever since i got gaming peripherals and i have loved them, to the point where i'm a bit of a fanboy (as well as having OCD where i MUST have 1 brand for my peripherals) So i was wondering, because i don't have money pouring out of my ears, what is the, in general, best company for keyboards, mice and headsets?

Also, without taking price into consideration, what would be the best keyboard/mouse/headset from each company (logitech and corsair)

For a person who doesn't play mmos, basically the same needs fulfilled someone with my setup atm.

keybaords i'd probably say ducky. not sure for mice, since they're really specific to people.

Normandy - Intel Core i5 3470, 8 GB Corsair Vengenace LP, EVGA GTX 960 SSC, Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H-MVP, WD Blue 1 TB, Seagate 320 GB (steam), Seagate 320 GB (experimental, second OS, etc), Windows 8.1 + Ubuntu 14.10

Garrus - HP Stream 11

Logitech, Cooler Master, or Corsair, but, between the three of them, it's a really tough choice. None of them offer particularly good headphones or headsets. For keyboards, I'd probably opt for Corsair because their K70s are quite nice. For mice, I love my Cooler Master Storm Spawn and Cooler Master Storm Skorpion mouse bungee. Corsair probably has the nicest mouse pads, including my personal favorite: the MM200 Extended and their SP2500 speakers are excellent as well.

Intel Core i7-5930K | Noctua NH-D15S | ASUS X99-M WS | 32GB (4 x 8GB) G.Skill Ripjaws V 2666MHz | MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G | Samsung 850 Pro 512GB | Seasonic 660XP2 | Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV

LG 34UM95-P w/ Ergotron MX  | O2/ODAC | Audioengine A5+ w/ AS8 | Sennheiser HD 598 | Ducky Shine 3 | Cooler Master Storm Spawn

I'd say Logitech, although most of their mice don't fit me so well. Their G35 headset and G710+ keyboard have served me well. I'd also say Mionix. They are a smaller company, but have really good customer service and great products. I also like Steelseries. Worst company IMO, is Razer. 2/2 Razer products I've owned have broken before a year of usage. Their mice are generally way too small for me also.

I don't use only one brand for peripherals, I use multiple. Only brand I use two products from, is Sterlseries, but that's about to change when my Puretrak Talent arrives.

I'm considering parting with my G710+ for a K70 or MX RGB from Corsair. Is it possible to only buy the K70 wrist rest and use it with the G710+?

What turned me off logitech was how damn ugly their stuff is. Function over from ik but, THEY ARE JUST UGLY!!! But corsair on the other hand...

Edit: None of my razer stuff has broken yet, had my mamba the longest, nearly a year

I have some trust issues with Corsair products. I've had 2 PSU's made by them. One of them "blew up", and I couldn't turn it on anymore without the power/electricity in my room getting cut because of it. The other one had horrible coil whine, and the fan would ramp up every 20 minutes and "scrape" against something. So I said fuck it, and bought a be quiet! Dark Power Pro 10. Best decision I've ever made. Haven't had a single problem with it. It's 100% silent, and all voltages are stable etc. Cables are also noticeably higher quality and cable management was easier.

And for the ugliness of Logitech products, I partly agree with you. Some products I personally think look good though, are the Logitech G602 mouse, the G500s mouse looks okay too, the G710+ keyboard looks really good IMO, the G430 and G230 headsets look quite good. The rest of the products look OK, not that good. But I put function over looks. I don't care how good the Deathadder looks for example. I just can't use it with my big hands.

Well, if you took a look on the Corsair PSU forums a little while ago, you'd see just endless complaints about coil whine, broken or loud fans etc.

I've invested too much into my peripherals to go and buy a whole new set, besides, razer has been good to me

You could just change one and one thing, and not a whole set?
