Hi guys,

I have a Gigabyte RTX 2060 OC and the problem is that the GPU heats up to 80 degrees and the fans are loud af. I watched 2060 benchmarks and they get hottest as 60-65 degrees. Is gigabytes cooling so shit? And would it be worth to buy an aftermarket cooler (was looking at arctic Xtreme III) or just sell it and buy a another brand? If I'm selling it, i would appreciate any recommendation :)

Cheers

Looking at reviews for that model, it looks like yes gigabyte's cooling is just that shit on that card. 80c is fine but if it's too loud, you can look into lowering the power limit % (might decrease performance) or undervolting (performance boost if done right).

I wouldn't put on an aftermarket cooler, it's a lot of hassle. You may as well buy a new card at that point.

i9-11900K @ 5.1ghz;   RTX 3090 FE @ 2ghz;   ROG Maximus XII Hero;   4266mhz G.Skill 16GB DDR4;

I just dont get how big of a difference there can be in temps between brands. I already lowered the max power to 85% and its still enough performance but it feels like i couls have bought a gtx 1070. Why buy the thing when u cant use it properly?

Sometimes reviewers crank up the fanspeed all the way up. Nothing you can really do with the noise but you can make a more aggressive custom fan cure,

Yeah I get it but I dont think every reviewer does this, the fan curve doesnt really solve my problem either so...
