New build - Better PSU choice?

Akillesus

Good Evening all,

Dilemma regarding 750W PSU, which one should I choose?

Choice between: Pros/ cons

1. Corsair RM750x /  750
2. Corsair HX750i /  750
3. EVGA SuperNova 750 P2
4. Seasonic Focus PX 750
5. Seasonic Prime PX 750

To me they're more less the same price.

I know that I have listed both Gold- and Platinum cert, but as I mentioned same price..

If I better choose another PSU, please let me know :)

Thanks!

Build: MSI RTX 3080 Ventus 3X, MSI B550 Tomahawk, AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 2x8 GB Corsair Vengance, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1 TB, H100X CPU cooler, 2x AOC 1440p monitors

I'm very happy with my Corsair RMx but Seasonic make good ones too so if they are the same price why not go with one of those? They're platinum.

Out of that list the Corsair HX750i would be a great choice.

None of the units are bad however.

Right, but surely that is not in the same price class as the RMx. At the same store I got my RMx the HX cost twice as much. But yeah you are correct I just thought the price gap... ya'know...

Yeah they are at the lower wattages, once you get into 850W and over they are closer in price, RMX vers HX. With the HX you are getting both Multi-Rail OCP and Platinum efficiency.

Then the HXi is more than the HX also due to the Corsair Link.

Like the RMi is more than the RMX.

And the AXi is more than the AX.

Yeah but the price difference between the 650x and 750x is like around $9 so I actually considered the 750 even though it's a total overkill for my system. Due to the effectiveness curve however I didn't. I see what you mean with 850 and up though the RMx price spikes.
