Phone data transfer

Go to solution Solved by Senzelian,

The Pixel will ask you to transfer all your data from your old phone to it by connecting both devices with a cable. The Pixel comes with a USB C to USB C cable. You can then select what to transfer.

This does also work wirelessly, if all the data that you want to link is synced to your Google Account. But I'd recommend the cable method, because its more reliable and much faster. Took me about 10 minutes.

Hey so I'm about to buy a Google Pixel 4a 5G with a pair of bose headphones for free. Currently I Have a Huawei P Smart 2019 Edition and this thing is about done. Now of course I want all the data I have on this phone to be on the new one. I think when I got this phone I used some huawei app for data transfer and all the dates on my photos changed to the day of transfer so it all got messy with the listing and stuff.

Any way does anyone know a good way to transfer this data from one phone to the next without sacrificing the date of recording on photos videos etc?

Help is much appreciated

That's fine. The Pixel comes with a USB C to A adapter.

You can plug that into the Pixel and then you can use the original cable from the Huawei, which I assume is a USB A to USB B cable.
