Use AMD Ryzen 3600 and B550 motherboard.

Change the PSU to Corsair CX550.

Add 1-2 TB HDD.

Quote or @SupaKomputapeople for them to see your replies, and never believe whoever told you that, because previously, intel was gaming and amd was productivity, now amd both

AMD > Intel for almost anything in your price range, especially autocad or Adobe software. Get a R5 3600 and a B450 or B550, maybe wait a bit for a new midrange GPU if you feel like it. No biggie if you don't. Corsair PSUs are literally the only ones I've had die on me so I'd personally go for EVGA or Seasonic but that's only 3/5ish PSUs so take that with a grain of salt.

I wasn't able to find your monitor so I couldn't include it in your list. I changed the motherboard as there is no point in going z490 without a K-series chip. I changed the psu as the one you chose was way above what your build would consume so this ones cheaper, I also changed the SSD as this one gives more storage and far faster speeds for not much more, and I took out the aio as it's a waste at that price point. I would recommend getting 16gb of ram for the little more it would cost but if you don't think you need it that's fine.

Current Gaming System

Cpu - R5 2600

Cpu Cooler - 240mm Deepcool Captain AIO

Motherboard - B450 Aorus Elite

RAM - 3200mhz Corsiar Vengeance Pro RGB (2x8gb)

Gpu - 2070 Super FE

Psu - Thermaltake Smart BX1 650W 80+ Bronze

Case - Cooler Master H500

Storage - 240gb Crucial SATA SSD (boot), 3tb Seagate 7200rpm HDD

thats very helpful thanks. yeah i will go with 16gb. but is it really i dont need 3200mhz ram speed? if i change to 650w psu ? is it ok.

I would recommend going wirth Ataxions build over mine as it's cheaper and better, biggest difference is the gpu but that is one of the easiest things to upgrade later anyways.

You don't need 650w and ram speed matters if you go with ryzen but would not matter as much with intel

You could use an external hard drive or you could take the hard drive from the external enclosure and put it in the PC if you put in pc it will be a little bit faster than over usb

Yes if you already have larger storage the HDD isn't needed. Also what games are you interested in playing as the1660 super is faster than the 5500xt but more money, but depending on the games your playing this might not make a big difference.

i really thought of that too, but should i worry about the cable, or the speed later, i dont want to test on 4tb hdd just to know it?

not really to be a pro gamer, as long as it work smoothly well on Odyssey, league of legend, pubg and cs, that would be awesome enough.

Yeah those games will run easily at medium to max settings at 144 hz with 5500xt at 1080p

$65 650w non-modular bronze rating, I'd not bother with modularity for a 500w because you're not exactly going to be running a 3080 off it

If you can get a 3700x go for it but a 3600 is plenty. 3600s are usually $200

AMD platforms were not as stable because of Intel being on top for so long. Developers used to make programs with Intel cpus in mind. There are some weird glitches in some areas till the Ryzen 3000 series. Ryzen 5000 is much better in the stability area. Not much weird behavior.

So if you are experienced with windows computers then go with Ryzen 3000 series as they are much better in productivity (video editing, content creation etc.) anyway as compared to Intel. But if you are new then I think you should go with Intel. As for the GPU the games you want to play can be run using the Radeon 5500XT, but if it fits in your budget go with 1660 as there may be newer games that you may want to play and the GTX 1660 will be able to handle that kind of things for longer. You can also get a 5500XT now and save up for a better GPU in the future if required. If you want to go Radeon for matching both cpu and gpu then there is no benefit unless you get both Ryzen 5000 series CPU and Radeon 6000 series GPU with a 500 series chipset.

-you should go Ryzen.

For programs like Autocad go for Nvidia gpu like 1660 S

for Autocad yes.

Pretty mediocre unit. Rating is not quality. For 1660 and Ryzen that will be fine, but OP should go for better unit than Seasonic SIII

It matters in Intel too. Linus have tested it.
