Hi,

Just put my 5900x build together and done some testing while i wait for my 3080 was just curious about tempratures, I'm using a Hydro 100i with stock thermal paste and the fans and pumps were set to balanced.

Both sides of the case were off while i was testing, I have 3 intake fans and 1 rear outtake fan, then the rad is top mounted with the 2 fans as outtake.

I'm getting around ~50c idle but when i did Prime95 stress test i selected blend and left it for 10 minutes it only reached 74c. Also tried a couple Cinebench tests and was around 60-65c

Compared to my old Intel CPU that seems quite high to me but i havn't ever had an AMD so not sure what to expect. I did the thumb screws up tight by hand, there is no wobble on the pump so i think the contact is good.

only 74 degrees while running prime 95 sounds pretty good. If you fear it is too much just close your case and let it run for half an hour while running Furmark and prime95. Now your pc is running in full speed if the temps doesn't get higher it is pretty damn good temps.

oh btw. you can set a Fan curve in your Bios settings. how fast your cooler fans should spin compared to the temp.

for Example my graphic-card doesn't use its fans until it reaches 60 degrees. right now my 2060 S is in idle just watching a video and it is at 53° Celsius, no fan spinning.

2 Case fans in, 1 out
