Planning a budget 5000 series build ( need advice on the motherboard choices)

My schoolmate says it's time to upgrade his gaming pc (Intel i5 4670k).

He plans to build an m-atx gaming rig, he's thinking of getting an ryzen r5 5600x, since it's just for gaming and schoolworks.

He has an budget of usd$170.00

Any suggestions for b550 m-atx boards?

Thanks

from cheap (but still decent) to more expensive and better. any of these will be fine with a overclocked 5600x, and on a budget i'd recommend the cheapest. but maybe you schoolmate needs wifi, or cares about how the board looks:

in fact basically every B550 micro ATX board is within budget. Have a look at the tier list if you want to compare.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
