I currently have a 2GB GTX 960, a B450 motherboard, 3000Mhz 8GB of RAM and a 480GB Sata SSD.

Next year I plan to upgrade my RAM to 16~32GB, my CPU to a 4th gen Ryzen and my GPU to one of those new AMDs. But I need something until then, I was hoping to get an 3600X but the 3500X is 40% cheaper right now (Black Friday isn't such a big deal where I live).
I know that for gaming the limiting factor is gonna be my GPU anyway, but I'll use the PC to work on 3D renders and possibly video editing.

Do you guys think It's worth to pay more for a 3600 (or 3600X) or is It gonna be pretty much the same performance with a GTX 960?

for rendering/editing 3600 is better. for gaming with gtx 960 there are pretty much no difference.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.
