Budget (including currency): $600-700

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly light schoolwork on chrome and adobe apps but I am starting to game, and I would like to be able to stream

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a case, a 650 watt power supply, plenty of regular storage drives, so i dont need any of those, so i have the rest to spend my money on. 1080 would the most used but i also have a 4k tv that i wouldn't mind being able to play on at 2k or 4k without too many dropped frames. As of now i really only play need for speed heat but i play at the LOWEST quality and it still constantly drops frames. dont know when or even if ill be able to upgrade from here since it took me so long to save but it would be nice to be able to. Heres a list of parts i compiled, there were withought much though since i cant really wait too much longer since i have some larger projects coming in the future and i don't want to risk the loss of my work any more than i have to. Any and all help is a appreciated, and if you have a chance i would love to learn about why certain recommendations? thank you all so much

Samsung SSDs are budget destroyers. They are the best but buying the best is never good value. Also for capacity, 1TB models usually give the most volume per dollar.

3300X is great for low core count high fps gaming, but work and more demanding games typically prefer higher core count especially those that the graphics card cannot give high frame rates to begin with. It's also hard to find, rarely in stock.

I know there are cheaper 2x8gb memory kits of the same rating, since RGB isnt a factor here.

Ventus XS = loud. also super expensive for a 1660S at $286

Thats interesting, I do very light audio and video editing, hardly ever over 10-15min long. and as for gaming im super super new to it, as mentioned i mainly play Need For Speed Heat, im not very interested in FPS games. I would like to be able to comfortably  do VR as I would love to try the beatsaber game i keep seeing online. I also play games like cup head, Jotun and some modded

with the twitch loader.

If i were to upgrade this to another model, what would you recommend?

Is this in CAD?

No, US Dollars

I hope that's what you mean by CAD

I updated my previous post after seeing USA in the orignal post, just shocked by that price on the GPU.

I know!! I really need this upgrade but spending That much money on one component seems so otherworldly. But at the same time im willing to make an investment, as long as i can find what will last, and do well for whatever i need it, this PC may well have to last me through college, that's why i worked so hard to save now before i start college and have to spend all my income on tuition and books and gas and insurance.

Ok i see, so we would be sticking with the 1660 but from a different maker? does it matter that the other one was a "super" while this one is just the 1660, im not sure what the differences are?

Super has GDDR6 for higher memory bandwidth while standard has GDDR5. This does cause a memory bottleneck situation for the 1660, but memory overclocking eats away all the disadvantages

but if you would rather spend more for GDDR6 and not deal with overclocking, get the Strix 1660S

also realistically how much more could i upgrade my GPU with his CPU

Depends on the game, but I dont recommend over $400 of a GPU.
