pc wont boot

im helping a friend build a pc over discord,
the pc recieves power can see from gpu led indicator but power button wont start pc no fans turning or anything the jfp 1 connector is plugged in seemingly proper but its not chooching cpu and atx connectors are in i think but still not powering up so ive just got him checking all the connectors are in place atm any other suggestions?

Is the power and fan cable from the case plugged in? That's the one thing I would check.

Situation is a little too vague at the moment, though I'll at least add that some motherboards won't boot if the CPU fan isnt plugged in. I've made that mistake before.

psu plugged in and switched on? are the front panel jumpers plugged in?

AMD blackout rig

 

cpu: ryzen 5 3600 @4.4ghz @1.35v

gpu: rx5700xt 2200mhz

ram: vengeance lpx c15 3200mhz

mobo: gigabyte b550 auros pro 

psu: cooler master mwe 650w

case: masterbox mbx520

fans:Noctua industrial 3000rpm x6

pc starts with a jump start but idk why the front io isnt working

Try hooking the reset button to the power pins and starting it with that instead. That could tell you whether or not the power button has some sort of defect.

 

Either way, if the button or buttons are faulty, I'd contact the case manufacturer. Maybe they can send you another one.
