not a good idea to host on your home network, youre leaking your ip address to everyone around, if youre going to host on your home network use a vpn, you could get a vpn that you open ports with and skip this step entirely

I totally agree with that, you should definitely do that if you are opening ports.

So I’ll take it you own your own modem or are you using what Xfinty provides?

Yes I am using a modem that Xfinity provides, I do plan on buying my own soon.

This is a whitelist server for me and a couple friends to play on so I won’t be rly leaking it out unless I un-whitelist the server

That’s your problem then. Xfinity doesn’t provide modems. They provide gateways. A gateway is a modem and router in one. So if that gateway is not in bridge mode, it’s also acting as a router. Which explains why your having issues.

Can you post your port forwarding config? (Make sure to cover your wan IP)

It sound like miss configuration on the network side.

No the issue is the OP is double NATed. Comcast only issues internet gateways (Modem/Router) and the OP is using a 3rd party router. So while the OP is port forwarded, the OP still has a second layer of NAT to worry about due to the Comcast gateway. When the OP buys a standard cable modem, the issue should be resolved.
