is there a driver update

The drivers for the graphics card and the BIOS version of the motherboard don't have anything to do with each other, you can run a 5600 XT with any version of that motherboard's BIOS.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

I just got a new a520i mobo and am putting a rx5600xt in it can't find the information anywhere is there a driver update or will it run without one since the board is fairly new

you could run a 5600xt with a pentium 4 if you had a motherbosrd with a pcie 16x slot.

you just need to check for bios updates every now and then, same with drivers.
(also, bios and drivers have nothing to do with one another)

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

sometimes yeah but other times you'll need a bios update to run newer graphics cards.  off the top of my head I know an m5a99x evo won't run anything newer than an HD 7000 series without a bios update

yes it is.  you used to see it all the time on amd boards from around 2010-ish.  it's unusual (and today almost unheard of) and never well documented but I have seen instances where a new gpu requires a new bios on multiple occasions.

it's why some laptops will let you get away with putting just about any graphics card in it and some will bitch about anything but the original one too.
