Mobo: Strix Asus Mobo Z270F

GPU: RTX 2060 S

RAM: 2400 32 GB HyperX

Drives: 1TB Samsung SSD 2 Black 1TB

PSU: 750W Corsair

Well you got a 1080p monitor so 1440p is gonna be hard with that.  Your cpu is about on par with a 3300.  You could get away with nothing but upgrading your monitor before the end of the year.  After that it gets real iffy though.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

$2200 is quite the budget, something like this would do the trick

Feel free to upgrade to an RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT and get a 2TB SSD since you have the budget for it. I left a lot of room so you could pick out a nice 1440p monitor.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

yes, and if the PC isn't something you desperately need at the moment, I recommend buying closer to the holiday. We might see some improved availability closer to 2021, especially with AMD's competition to nvidia becoming available.

yeah I was thinking of 1440p over 4k because it might be a bit harder to run games at high refresh rates. But I guess with DLSS and such it might no to bad? Not sure if 2200 USD is enough for a whole 4k build.

Yeah! Seems like waiting might be the smart choice. Since my rig does fine for the current 1080p gaming.

Dlss2 is supposed to work a lot better than DLSS1 which was arguably even more worthless than rtx.  I’ve heard it’s great, I’ve heard it’s great unless there are fast moving things onscreen in which case it is blurry (so worthless for gaming) either way a monitor upgrade would be required to even see it.  With @Fasauceome’s spec you could do4k straight with a big enough video card.
