  1. I dont want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on monitors, some of them get really pricey. I think ive narrowed it down to these 3, but would like to hear your input on which would be a better choice. My current setup is a Ryzen 7 5800x with Radeon 5700XT (will upgrade to 6800XT in the near future) for a monitor I just have a cheap 24" HP 24es 60hz. This monitor seams ok, but i have nothing to compare it too as Ive never had the pleasure to have a gaming monitor with 144hz or 1440p. Im not concerned if its 32 or 27" anything within that range is fine, but If anyone has any other good sugge

    such an awesome build
  3. received a new PCI riser cable, so the GPU is back to vertical mount, for some reason the phantek riser was causing issues with video signal.
  4. oh interesting, ive have so much to learn, Im catching up on all the newest tech, last time i messed around with building PC's. HDD's with 7500 rpm were the new thing haha
  5. i guess getting a second 2 TB Nvme or an SSD wouldn't be a bad idea for a game library. the 8TB HDD is mainly for storing my downloads, documents, photos ect.
  6. Ive built my first PC in 15 years, and I have a 1tb nvme as my main drive with OS, and I have 8TB 7200rpm barracuda HDD. All my games I just install onto the 1TB NvMe, but should I be installing all the Steam titles on the 8TB HDD to conserve space? Im installing Black Ops III right now and the download is 116gb, man games sure gotten big. Any downside to installing games onto my 8TB HDD?
  7. ive adjusted my fan curve to allow max 75% fan speed, it seams to work very well. Of course the fans get louder, but not enough for me to notice while gaming. Im just curious where hot spot temp is sourced at, as thats always the highest temp
  8. I have the ASUS ROG STRIX RX 5700 XT O8G GAMING, It seams to work well with a custom fan curve. I have not overclocked it yet, im working on it. Will the 6800s really need bigger PSU than 750w? Reason I choose the ASUS STRIX is because EK makes a water block for it and im planning on a custom water loop. This is with custom fan curve, GPU temp is at 62*C, I set max fan speed at 75%. Im not sure where GPU Hot Spot Temp is sourced at, but its at 85*C This is with Automatic fan control, silent mode where it only allows max 50% fan speed. you can still
  9. All out AMD rig, it seams that once I updated video drivers to Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.11.1 latest ones, my benchmark score dropped a bit in time spy to under 10k. I went back to 20.9.1 Drivers and picked up a few points. Next Ill try some overclocking. Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.11.1 Drivers Benchmark: Fire Strike CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT GPU Core: 2,065 MHz GPU Memory: 1,750 MHz Score: 25 260 3DMark Link: https://www.3dmark.com/fs/23991931 Benchmark: Fire Strike Extreme CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X GPU: AMD Radeon RX
  10. I tried out OCCT and really like it, also will try Asus Realbench, thank you
  11. Thank you ill try the two mentioned as well, with prime95 my 5800x CPU is steady at 64*C, only run it for 10min.
  12. as the title says, what is a good program to test thermals for a CPU? I have Prime95, but is there anything better to use?
