3570k OC

Hi everyone :)

 

I want to oc my 3570k but it has this "turbo boost". Do i have to concider something, like disable the option and just overclock my cpu?

i want to overclock my cpu at ~ 4.2 - 4.6 ghz.

you can get to 4.2ghz with stock cooler (well bit high temps tbh) you can disable it or configure it for your usage but i pretty much disable it everytime on desktops

Change you CPU Multiplier til you'r happy whit the overclock, and i don't recommend using a stock fan.

I disable turbo boost and use extreme load line calibration but that is because my i5 3570k will overclock to 4.3ghz with undervolted voltages. I would suggest to disable turbo boost and use extreme load line calibration/ 100% vdroop then feel your chip out a bit so overclock it to a good clock speed that you want and then up the voltages or drop the voltages until it is stable.

 

 

Edit* if you are on a stock cooler then I suggest finding a clock speed that is stable with undervolted voltages.

yeah i have a h100i so i think i can go on a pretty serious clockspeed :D

Yes , you MUST disable the turbo boost ,,: it is located in BIOS ,,, you can find it easily,,
and then you can overclock it,, i do not reccommend the stock cooler
