you need another hub. that will be 2 hobs off the commander for a total of 12 fans each with there own control.

keep in mind the you can only have 1 type of fan per hub. i think it will work just the animation will be messed up because different fans have different amount of leds

I have a Corsair 680X Black and I am looking to add four LL140mm fans to add to air flow on top or replacing the existing rear 120mm case fan for a Noctua one but that's not relevant at the moment.

 

How do I address 7 fans and keep them fluid when a comander pro only takes 6. If i use a Y slpiter will it address the two fans together or separately?

 

I mean I have a feeling it would link them like they were one fan. Shouldent it. Or do I need two commanders? Would that work?

1 commander and a y splitter will work just fine for controlling the fan RPM.

The fans effectively become 1 fan, in terms of RPM control. But it will work perfectly fine I have done this many many times. Just use the splitter on the two fans that you would want o behave the same. 

 

You do not need a second Commander.

keep in mind the fan will mimic w/e port its connected too.

Thank you thrasher_565 for finding that I have been scratching my head over this for a little to long and to have a simple solution makes me feel a little silly for not having found it sooner. As for the mess I will be using Corsair Light Loop fans so there should be no problem...I hope XP I have three 120mm on the front and that's the ones that came in the case. its also the biggest you can fit up front. i will be getting four 140mm two top and two bottom to finish this off.
