B550 BIOS support for ryzen 5000 series

I just bought a ryzen 5 5600X, and I am wondering if it will work with bios AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 v2 1.0.0.1. I have the Asrock B550m steel legend motherboard, and it shipped with BIOS version 1.0. Please correct me, but I remember Zen3 CPU only works with AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 v2 1.1.0.0 or newer. I don't have a older CPU to update the BIOS with, can someone help?

Hmm no mention of a dedicated usb port for bios updates on Asrock's web site for this board, I know some motherboards have a special usb port for bios updates but it looks like your out of luck for this one, unless you can borrow a (very good) friends CPU to let you do the bios update then put your new 5000 series one in?

looks like you need bios version 1.2 for this. are you sure it shipped with bios 1.0?

unfortunately this board doesn't have bios flashback functionality, so you will have to find a supported cpu to update bios or get a bios update loan kit from amd
