RX 580 underperforming

I see people getting 1300 points and up in Unigine Heaven.

I get around 470.

Wolfebstein Old Blood runs at 15 fps on medium 1080p.

All the information about performance and the system is in the screenshots.

I reinstalled the drivers. dxdiag doesn't detect problems. 

Changing the power limit in radeon software to 50% doesn't change anything, neither does overclocking.

I'm stumped to what the problem could be.

Can you change the motherboard? Or get a better case with airflow? It can be either motherboard or overheating issues.

I don't have other MBs available now. The temps in the graph read 71 max

I think it's your RX 580 being the 4GB version. The 8GB version is miles better than the 4GB version, even the RX 570 at 8GB would tear the 4GB RX 580. Try lowering the quality on Unigine Heaven.

Thats not how benchmarks work if you want to use them for comparison reasons. 

 

The score op is getting is extremely low, not sure why tbh. 

 

 

This is what im getting 

 

So if we roughly divide this by 2 (1070 is about 40% faster) 

We get the ominous "1300" points for 580 which seems about right.

Heaven barely uses much Ram, also I'm pretty sure op has 8 gig version, heaven doesn't show double data rate apparently, or my 1070 also has only 4 gigs.

@hellwisp are you sure what you're comparing to has also tesselation on extreme? That's a pretty taxing setting (I forgot to set mine...)

But I agree I think you should be getting around 30fps for sure. 

 

As for why I don't have an idea either at the moment unfortunately. 

 

 

PS: I'm getting 200 points less with extreme tesselation, so not a big difference for me

Hold on, am I crazy? I'm seeing a max of 1360 Mhz and 1138 MB from the GPU at 100% from the graph. What is your PSU? It might be the PSU that's acting up.
