Any new Ultrawide's on the horizon?

Simple question. I'm really considering getting myself an ultrawide gaming monitor, but am worried that as soon as I do something "better" will release. I know this is common in the PC community, but I just wanted to see if anyone had sources that show companies have a release date planned or announcements.

 

The monitor I've been conisidering is the LG34GN850-B. I have a 240hz monitor and I just want the ultrawide to have 1ms response time and 144hz (at least) refresh rate. I want it to play those "scenic" games instead of shooters.
