What is a good upgrade path for an ultrawide monitor?

Must haves in a new monitor:

1. Better resolution (current one is 2560x1080)
2. Higher refresh rate (currently 60 Hz)

Nice to haves

1. Decent hdr
2. brighter

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Keep saving, wait for Black Friday, and see what goes on sale. You'll have far more options, as your options now with that budget are rather limited.

Then what would ou consider as a better budget?

Or would i be better of going 16:9 and getting  4k or a 1440p monitor?

Because I'm not particularly attached to the 21:9 aspect ratio, I care more about my monitor being over 30 inches

$650 would probably get you a pretty good monitor, but like I said, wait for Black Friday and see what goes on sale.

Personally I'll never go back to a 16:9 monitor after having used 21:9. I'm currently considering moving to an even wider monitor.
