Unknown Motherboard cables

Go to solution Solved by dilpickle,

I just installed a new MSI Z490 board yesterday and I have the same cables. Those are all for RGB. The 3 pin is specific to Corsair RGB I think.

The Speaker/Buzzer comes with your case but many new cases no longer have this.

I really like your handwritten notes BTW. 🙂  I always write down my BIOS settings in my mobo manual.

Hello everyone, I have the MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Carbon WIFI

I have these 3 strange connectors and i can't figure out where they go or wether I should / when to use them.IMG_4971.thumb.JPG.78ae0fbc1becee0a889498d899ca1cd9.JPGIMG_4972.thumb.JPG.d25a3d7627be07b26c9f2e23a7011701.JPGIMG_4973.thumb.JPG.f542fb7ffed87daef0edab81092eca18.JPG

I figured they may be for RGB (i have none), or for the Motherboard's beeper/buzzer/trouble shooting LED's.

But I have no idea. Additionally, the manual said to plug in this port but I don't see any cables that'd fit it?62612317782__8596A1A6-C2F1-4482-AB7D-9DAF86DB3A6C.thumb.JPG.3d734a0cbacdecb9bcf7f5e3c15307d1.JPG

They look like RGB. The middle one is a 4 pin RGB cable, the bottom one looks like a converter from ARGB to some proprietary cable and the top one looks to be the same proprietary cable.

Also no, they do not connect to the speaker header on the board.
