H110I pro HTPC problem

I have a G4560 in an H110I and can't get it to post/output.  I've tried two kinds of ram each in either slot and I've tried two sticks.  With one of my bad sticks it'll sit there and flash between cpu and ram for the diagnostic lights, with my dead 7700k it sit's at cpu diagnostic light so I know it's doing something.  But I've tried it on one monitor with DVI and one with HDMI, both are ultrawide if that matters at all.  But what makes me think not enough is going on is the keyboard and mouse don't light up (I have a ps2 keyboard somewhere).  I do have another cpu to test with but it's buried behind an old water cooling loop that I'd rather not disassemble.  I have a couple gpu's I could test with but that requires pulling it out of the case.  Just wanted to see if anyone can think of something to try before pulling it out of the case.  The mb was a "refurbished" from newegg that I got several months ago but never had the time to test out.  I've disconnected everything except front panel power and cpu fan and still nothing but a spinning fan and diagnostic light that flashes a bit at first boot.  Thoughts?

oh right, I forgot that beep codes were a thing, haven't had a speaker hooked up to a computer in quite a while cause there's typically not a problem.  Thanks for the advice
