what cpu should i upgrade to?

i have a budget of around 200$ cad, and my 3200g isn't cutting it. what cpu should i upgrade to?

AMD Ryzen 3 3200g

XFX xxx ed rx 580 8gb

Asus PRIME a320m-k

G.skill aegis 2x8 2666

Western digital blue 1tb 7200rpm

Kingston a2000 250 gig

Coolermaster q300l

Thermaltake 500w 80+

Without knowing anything about the rest of your setup, the Ryzen 3600 (or even the 3600X) seems like a no brainer as it's likely to drop below $200 CAD around Black Friday.

If buying new, the best upgrade you could make is a R3 3100 and re-use your mobo. You could also try to score a used 3600 in your budget for a much bigger upgrade.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

the 3100 is rarely in stock, or so im told, but this seems like an amazing deal

The 2600 is okay. But i'd rather try to get a use 3600. It's a much better architecture.

3100 has a good availability and if you wait for zen 3 lunch and black friday you might be able to score a 3600

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here
