Quick question, has anyone had experience with using a driver designed for Windows 8 on a Windows 7 machine? I am looking at purchasing an HP laptop that only ships with Windows 8 on it, and I am worried that if (when) I downgrade to Windows 7, I will not be able to have drivers for the hardware on it. HP only lists drivers for Windows 8/8.1, would they work on Windows 7? Thanks in advance!

From personal use, I find not only that I do not use the features that Windows 8 has brought to the table, as well as preferring the UI of Windows 7 over Windows 8, and the general compatibility with third party applications. I know that the last point is up to the developer of the application, however they do not seem very willing to do so (Hamachi).
