I used to run photoshop on a 66mhz 6800k mac-in-a-box. Will it run is not the question.  It’s “how fast will it run?”The answer is “that depends on how much you are being paid”.  Photoshop can be quite slow if the files are large enough which means an operator is either working or waiting. Less power + bigger files = more waiting. The more the operator costs per hour vs the cost of the machine becomes a ratio.  Sometimes it’s cheaper to buy a more expensive machine to reduce wait time.   Sometimes that ratio becomes so extreme that it’s worth buying extremely expensive machines, and wishing there were even more expensive faster ones available because the ratio is still negative.  This is why $4k video cards get bought.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
