I believe you should wait for independent reviews on AMD's lineup before making a decision, given how close we are to their launch.

Nvidia already has their generation launch stack out, in so much as what limited quantity we have. The match is set, now comes the fight to decide who wins this time. There will be new cards coming, likely the same as 20xx series, supers that will fill the gaps between their launch cards. If you'd like to wait for those, you can, though I do not know how long that'll be.
