HDMI monitor not recognized new build

Ursolace

So I've just built a fresh top to bottom new build. The only carry-over from my old system is my secondary monitor, a BenQ GL2450. I am running a 2070 Super and using Displayport for my primary display (LG 27GL850-B). The BenQ was previously running on its DVI port and since it doesnt have Displaypprt I've used the HDMI cable that came with the LG.

All NVIDA and Windows 10 updates/drivers are up to date.

Windows is recognizing that the GPU has two cables inserted, but the BenQ itself does not seem to notice it has a cable connected.

Not sure if this has to do with the HDMI version on the cable or maybe something else? Restarts, unplugs ans drivers appear to make no progress.

First thing you should do, is to try a different cable.

HDMI cables don't have versions. They are either of good or bad quality, but support all standards.

Yep. At its worst, a bad cable can keep your whole system from booting.

You ever just have one of those days? Today I stand before you, man enough to own my shame:

That I didnt change the input source using the monitor's menu to "HDMI" from DVI.

Problem solved.
