3080 Acquisition Help

Super excited as I just ordered all the components for my first new gaming rig in 3 years. Of course the rtx3080 is the missing ingredient. Any recommendations on how I can get a hold of one relatively soon? Well, at least by Cyberpunk 2077's release (extra 3 weeks now!). Thanks.

there are plenty on ebay that you could have right away

Yeah right. You can do something like a 1650 or a used RX570 in the meantime while you wait for hell to freeze over

Unfortunately your options until next year are basically buy a scalped card on eBay or buy something else. Based on Nvidia's own statement they won't have the stock issue sorted until early 2021 and they are currently meeting somewhere around 7% of demand a month based on the retail numbers which are being publicly posted.

AMD has its 6000 series coming out this week so watch out for the reviews on that to see if its a viable option.
