MSI X370 Memory Issue

Hey guys

 

My Specs:

 

Msi x370 Gaming Plus

Ryzen 3100

Teamforce White 3000mhz DDR4 Ram

Win10 Pro

BIOS: E7A33AMS.5JP

 

Ok my issue is when i had the 3200g cpu i could change the ram to 3000mhz but now with my new 3100 i cant... its keeps reverting back to 2400mhz and tells me memory overclock unsuccessful and i must press f1 to go back in bios

 

If i select the A-XMP to enable it shows 3000mhz and if i disable it shows 2400mhz...

 

Any reason why i cant select the 3000mhz??

Start by changing dram voltage, save changing SOC voltage for if you can't get it to work. You typically have to be quite careful with SOC voltage.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Extract the file / folder (e.g. unzip / decompress it), and put ONLY the BIOS file onto the USB stick -- don't put it inside a folder.

Also use one of the USB ports on the BACK of the motherboard.

 

XMP should also adjust the DRAM voltage for you.

If not, 1.35V ~ 1.40V is usually the typical for most DDR4-3000+ XMP profiles.

Even things up to 1.5 volts is safe for DDR4 but start with 1.35 to 1.4 volts

Can you please explain on how you get 2 years... i updated it to latest version in the binning of this year think it was the v5j 1

Because the only place i can find reference to bios version E7A33AMS.5JP is in this news article about the release of the board back in 2017.

Bios version E7A33AMS.5JP is not even listed on the website as an available download anymore.

 

Regardless of how old, its no current. 

Update it.
