Greetings,

Bclk overclock really works for me in one scenario, so today I decided to go 5.1Ghz but 5 Ghz with multiplier and 100 mhz with bclk (102 Mhz bus speed), and it did work great! so:

1- How much can I overclock with bclk?

2- is it dangerous?

The most important question:

3- If bclk really improves a game, what does it mean? that I have a bottleneck wih my RAM?

Thank you!

Specs:

i7 10700K

16 GB @2666  16-16-16-39

i7 10700k @ 5.05 Ghz

MSI 1070TI titanium

Corsair H100i pro XT 240mm

MSI z490 tomahawk

16 Gb (2 x 8 GB) Patriot Viper Steel - 4000mhz - 16-16-16-34

USB issues can occur over time.

I thought it would all be Cherry...

I had a locked i5 4690 (3.9) at 4.17Ghz

USBs went after 6+ months of BCLK being my Daily.

Is that 100Mhz going to make a difference when GPUBound. Hardly.

Isn't worth the risk IMO.

My OG OC,taken back to 4Ghz from 3.9Ghz once my USB ports blew out (4xUSB2 and 2xUSB3) are GONE.

Leaving only 2xUSB3.

So is it worth it... maybe if its NOT your DAILY

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

It made a day and night difference but not in a GPU bound scenario, but a single core game scenario.

This old game won't run right even if I ovc at 5.1 Ghz, but BCLK did make a huge improvement.

Do you think leaving 101 Mhz is safe?

Im sure there is some board tolerances but who knows...
