I was searching things up and many people said to do a fresh install right after the swap. I already have windows installed, how will i do a clean install? Will i just need to use my usb windows installer and install it on the same boot drive; will it wipe the drive for me?

The only issue you may encounter is the activation of Windows on your old motherboard as it doesn't transfer.

If you have your Windows activated on a Microsoft Account, I believe you can go into the settings for your Microsoft Account and search for a setting with reactivating Windows after a hardware change on the new motherboard.

How would I do a clean install, like get rid of everything? Do I use a windows usb installer and install on the same boot drive? Will it automatically clean the drives from the past files?

If you want to do a clean install, I would use the Windows USB installer and change the boot order to the USB first over the SSD or HDD to wipe everything off of that boot drive. It will be as if you just bought the SSD/HDD from the store or retailer. So any documents and/or files on the SSD right now need to be backed up to an external drive, whether another drive or USB thumb stick, before formatting the drive with a clean install.

Alright, just checking now

1st step: Swap to new Mobo

2nd step: Go over to BIOS and change Boot order to (1) USB, (2) SSD, (3) HDD, and 4 (NVME)

3rd step: Then Restart and I should be set?

Yes you can if you want you can try going to Settings ->Update & Security -> Recovery -> Advanced startup and have your USB drive plugged into to boot from there.
