Country: Canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:
This build is mainly for gaming(Single player games such as fallout/Skyrim and some online game probably )and to handle some programming software

Other details
*the cpu choice is because of its integrated graphic that will be use for Linux(host) with a vm that use the gpu, or may buy a light gpu for an upgrade later on for dual gpu installation with a better cpu as well.

*Power supply, I don’t know if will be enough or if it is overkill for my system

*Cooler, any other cooler choice is welcome, just chosen that one because amazon, there will be some overclocking done to the rig

Open to suggestions, thank you

Keep in mind; if it's between this and a 3200 CL 16 kit of RAM, it may be cheaper to go with the 3200 MHz kit with no performance hit (depending on sub-timings)

The Sapphire Pulse version of the RX 5600 xt is largely considered one of the best ones out there. I would recommend it if you can find it in stock for roughly the same price, but this isn't a big deal.

I would say this CPU is a bit underpowered for the system. A Ryzen 5 3600 would be much better suited for honestly not too much more. It will perform better and be more future proof with the 2 extra cores. Get a cheap $50 temporary GPU that you can keep if you ever have problems with any future GPU or you could resell it for basically the same price.

In general, I don't think right now is a good time to be building a PC. Unless you desperately need it, I would say wait a couple of months or for the next gen parts to come out and be in stock.

The more I learn, the more I realise I don't actually know anything.

Recommendations: Lian Li 205m (sleek, pretty decent airflow for a non-mesh front panel and cheap), i5-10400f (Ryzen 5 3600 performance, 20% cheaper), Arctic P14 PWM fans, Logitech g305.

Thank you for your insight, no definitely I’ll have this build done prob by fall 2021, but it’s mostly due to get the resources ready to make the purchase, but and all I would like to know

which low budget gpu you would recommend for to choose from? And definitely will wait for a better time to build the rig

Well right now, I would say if you can find an RTX 2060 for around $300 USD or RX 5600xt for $270 then that may be your best bet. However, I presume NVIDIA and AMD will release a new card in the $300 price range in 2021, so if there is a better performing card when you build the system then go with that.

As a rule of thumb, don't pay anything more than about $30 above MSRP for a card. The added RGB or "increase air flow cooling design" and typical marketing stuff like that isn't worth it if you can just go the next GPU tier (2060 --> 2070 etc.) up and get a much bigger performance increase.

The more I learn, the more I realise I don't actually know anything.
