Hello,

A while ago I build a workstation on a budget for a friend who's an architect. He mostly uses the Software Cadwork (mostly for woodwork) and Revit but that works flawless.

Recommended Specs for the software are a 9900k, 32Gigs of RAM and a 1080.

His System:

Ryzen 3900X

32Gig 3466Mhz CL16 (accually 3600 but wasn't stable)

Gainward 2080 Super

Asus Crosshair 7 Hero (from his old PC)

PCIE 3 SSD

850W EVGA PSU

Noctua nh d15

and all that good stuff...

I don't understand why this software doesn't work, in 2D drawings it lags like sh!t, talking about 2-10sec delay when you move the drawing. Really not pleasant to work with.

The software seems to use just one Thread but even that one doesn't go over 50% usage, sometimes spikes up to 70%, the GPU mostly doesn't even bother to get out of idle clock (under 25% usage). The Ryzen seems to be a fantastic sample boosting up to 4,8GHz without any changes in bios but the RAM and infinity fabric.

My only idea till now was raising the boost clock and dissable Hyperthreading but didn't get to that yet.

Any ideas or anyone who experienced some problems with 2D CAD and Zen 2?

Hope someone can help he's really desperate.
