Changing Notification Tray Icons on Windows 7

Hey there fellow techies! I was wondering if there's any way to change the notification tray icons for specific programs? Changing application and task bar icons with resource hacker is a breeze but it doesnt change the notification tray icons and that would be nice to be able to do as well. I googled a bit and found some 3rd party software and wasnt too sure about it. Maybe if there is some open source stuff or something like that I would be willing to try it but I thought I'd just ask you guys about it for now :D Let me know if you have tried this or have any input!

You could maybe get some luck with customizer god

No luck with customizer god, I will try to google some more but any tips are welcome.. Is this possible in Windows 10? If so then maybe the process is similar in 7
