I'll elaborate without sarcasm.

(Just kidding there's going to be lots.)

Lose the case, crappy airflow.

He threw shade at your ram but he is right about Zen 3. I would defin go down the AMD path here, you'll end up paying for it later if you don't.

I'm not a watercooling person, so this is personal, regardless - Noctua if you want the best results. And yea, better than any watercooling unit can provide.

I'm pretty new to the whole building pc from parts etc, what does cl18 mean?

That's fair enough 😂 I'll take all the help I can get!

What style of case would you recommend? One with a mesh front I guess? I only picked this one because it was kind of minimalistic.

Do we know when zen3 will be coming out? I just always assumed Intel was better because that was more expensive, dumb I know!

I tried looking for noctua fans on the site but they didn't have any.. I'm down to buy parts separate but I've never built a pc before so a little wary! The water cooling came "free" with the build so wasn't sure what to change it to.

Would I be better making the pc on pcpartspicker and building it myself? Is it easy enough?

Funny enough I was just on a thread with the case i would suggest.
Since you seemingly have the budget of King Richard I'd recommend you work around this one. (Granted, if you want to keep watercooling.)

I don't know if the site you used had a compatibility filter but Pcpartpicker does. I like it.

Pcpartpicker is more difficult when you're selecting retailers, sometimes it's too good to be true and you got to do more research.

The lower the CAS Latency the better.

On your ram you might see a sticker that shows some numbers like 18-18-18-35 or whatever. You can tweak this, it's called tightening, to get better performance out of your ram.

Just Google memtest86 and you'll become a tight boy.
That came out wrong.

I saw that case and thought about it but wasn't super sure! I don't really care too much about water cooling, just want what's best for the system! I'll have a look at that thread thanku!

I don't think it did - heres the link to the build http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/saved/2430560 👍 I assume you should only stick to known retailers?

Maybe link an image file url; i can't get a proper redirect to that page for some reason.

No, i buy all over the place, wherever i can get the cheapest. I really like Newegg.

Regarding ram CAS, TRDC, TRP and TRAS (those numbers) you can find them listed on Newegg or wherever you buy them from. They'll just be a set of numbers with dashes.

I like tightening them -1 but your mileage may vary. Also safest to check if it's okay first.

You'll know if you do some research on it, it's easy.

If you're talking about SSDs, i'd take this opinion.

Oh damn I thought http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/saved/2430560 would work - I'm guessing you're in the US? Might be trying to redirect you to the US page. https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Infinity-910-RTX-Gaming-PC was the base build

I'll try make a new build on part picker n post it here, let me know what you think when I post it! 😊

Honestly, i think it's just this website's redirect system.

A share-link through Pcpartpicker would work for sure though.

You seem to be building something grand while i build modest things so perhaps there's someone else who could assist you better.

I don't know everything, i just know what i know.

If you share a list with me i'll probably just throw my hands up in the air and say build it like a flood is coming.

I also don't want to sound condescending but is this your first build? Because if it is mistakes are okay, in fact, making a mistake is completely acceptable.

Granted you didn't waste money, eg, if you bought a graphics card that was either too low or too beefy etc.

Not everything needs to be perfect the first time around because you end up learning so much more that way.

Anyway, good luck and have fun. And remember, it's just really expensive legos lol

I'd just build it yourself to be honest, you're going to get a far better system that way. It's not hard; I got my gf to build one a few years ago, and she'd never used a screwdriver before. If you can put together a LEGO set, you can build a computer. Just watch a bunch of video tutorials on YouTube, and enjoy the savings.

As for builds, you'd want to wait for the 5000 series Ryzen CPUs next month. At that time you'll also be able to get one of the newer video cards, and you'll have a pretty killer system. I'd aim for a 5800x, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, 4TB HDD and an RTX 3080.

Something like this:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor  (£397.49 @ Amazon UK)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler  (£72.39 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Gigabyte X570 AORUS PRO ATX AM4 Motherboard  (£233.47 @ Ebuyer)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory  (£137.99 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive  (£209.88 @ CCL Computers)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 6 TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive  (£118.64 @ Box Limited)
Video Card: Asus GeForce RTX 3080 10 GB TUF GAMING Video Card  (£733.67 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A ATX Mid Tower Case  (£63.99 @ AWD-IT)
Power Supply: Corsair RM (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply  (£110.39 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
Total: £2077.91

Just sub the 3900x for the 5800x. Only 100 pound more than what you had spec'd out, but substantially better.

Thank you for building this! Would a 750W PSU be good enough for a 3080 and a new cpu? I've seen vids of people saying that the 3080 is massively power intensive!

Also, is there a list of well ventilated cases that I'd be able to take a look at?

I'm leaning much more towards building it myself honestly, especially after figuring out how much better the system would be, plus how much cheaper it would be! I'll definitely watch a few videos first though to make sure I will know what I'm doing!

Thanks once again! :)

It should be since it's a quality unit. You can always step up to a higher one if you don't mind spending the cash.

Check out GamersNexus, they have tons of case reviews and iirc they have a 'best airflow cases of 2020' video.

You definitely should, it's quite easy! Cable management is the only pain in the ass; I'd advise against too much RGB.
