Time to upgrade?

Whats up everyone! Just burning time and contemplating what/when to upgrade my pc. Originally an iBuyPower custom, but I upgraded the cooler, case and fans. intel i5 6600K, GTX 1060 6gb, MSI Z170A and 16gigs of 2800mhz ram. I would love to just unload $1500-$1800 ~ power supply, mobo, cpu, gpu, aio cooler and bigger m.2 (currently running 128gb and its the worst). What are some recommended upgrade paths? Wait for Ryzen 5k or Stick with intel 'because it just works'?

There are other reasons to wait besides zen3 if it can be done.  There are a couple different wait points.  Wait till AMD releases new GPUs informs GPU purchase, waiting till zen 3 and rocketlake desktop informs cpu purchase, waiting till console release informs game playability. 6600k is 4/4 so it’s getting kind of chunky though.  A tough call.  Intel has faster single thread but in general tends to cost more.  If upgrading today, imho 3700x or any other reasonably modern 8/16 is a reasonably  safe bet.  6/12 or 2700 is less expensive but under 100% surety.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
